This place has changed a lot since I was a student in town many years ago, but the change isn't necessarily a bad thing. While I do miss the small coffeehouse of years past, I enjoyed the large selection of food and beverage options now available. Got a Thai chicken wrap for lunch. The wrap was great and I loved the different options for sides - not just chips! I had cottage cheese and someone else had fresh fruit. I know these aren't "special" by any means, but it's nice not to only have a salty option. Service was fast and friendly. Will stop by again for a quick lunch next time I'm in town.
Walked in on a Friday morning over Labor Day weekend & was greeted by friendly staff. We were seated right away. Was impressed by their full coffee menu & ordered a mocha and a regular latte. Good flavor & came in little mugs. The chicken fried steak breakfast plates were HUGE portions! Neither my husband nor I could finish our meals & we left stuffed! My husband almost always orders chicken fried steak (CFS) when he visits a breakfast restaurant, and he gave this one a "potential" score of "8.00" which is a pretty dang good! He said next time he would ask for them to cut down the amount of salt used in the breading - the batter part was a little too salty, but that was our only complaint. The steak was tender and flavorful and the crunch was YUM. Well-cooked eggs and hash browns too. A smidge pricy for a complete breakfast for 2, but we probably could have gotten away with splitting the CFS and just adding a couple eggs to the order to fill us both up.
First time customer and I'll be back. Excellent service and food. Hot and exactly as ordered. Quiet atmosphere so visiting with brother was easy and they didn't rush us out. 2 thumbs up for sure!
